Hi All,
I am very new to creating OLAP Universe. I am trying to trim a object at Universe level. Here is the object SQL
[0TEST].[LEVEL01].[[20TEST]].[Value]
This object produces the following results and here are the example.
T/12345678 and TT/23456789.
I want to trim the following 'T/' and 'TT/" at Universe level
and my results should be as following
12345678 and 23456789.
Anybody implemented this in BO 3.1 and back-end is SAP BW 7.0
Ashwin
You should not create calculated dimensionds or measures in Universe design for OLAP data sources. Either you do this calculations in Bex query designer or inside WebI
Check out the links below about OLAP data sources and how you can use them:

Actually, there is nothing strictly 'wrong' with defining custom-MDx objects in the universe.
it's a design/implementation choice .
although, yes, typically you would want to centralise the maintenance of this complexity in the easiest single place, & where the functionality is richest - and that would be BEx.
