I installed BO CLient Tools SP4 on the BO server. When I try to create a data foundation using 2 OLEDB connections, I get the following error message:

[Data Federator Driver] [Server] Internal or configuration error. Reason: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/sap/connectivity/foundation/api/ConnectionDefinitionURI

Would you check CMC if all the services in BO running?

If they are all running you'll probably have driver issue and you should open a message to SAP.

I applied SP4 on the BO 4.0 Server side and that seems to have resolved the issue. I guess CLient was on SP4 vs. Server was on Sp2, hence the error.
