Parent Demand from Component demand

Hello Gurus,

                          I am supporting some else solution and the background for it is

BOM are being send to APO but no routing , reason being this project was to give the business an estimate of how much parts to procure . So only BOM .

When i go in the planning book for one product i see the dependent demand ,

Now the user wants to know how is this component demand coming i mean from which Parent and how .....is there any way i can see that directly in Planning book ????

I tried going in PDS and typing that product but since it is a component not a parent it is not showing any results .

Hello,

I think you can find it in product view /sapapo/rrp3.

You first go to product view of the component material, and you'll see the dependent demand order there.

Then you can double click the dependend demand order and you'll be led to the detail view, where the dependent demand order is shown as 'Requirements' item, while the planned order for the main product is shown as 'Receipts' item on the left.
