Deployment only upto target stock

We have a typical requirement.  We have a mother depot and a child depot.  We want to hold stock at mother depot and maintain only the target stock at child depot

The target stock required at child depot is 100.

Current stock in child depot is 20.

Stock available at mother depot is 1000. (large stock is available).

The demand (forecast) at child depot during one week is 100.

In this situation, we want deployment to deploy only 80 units (Fill upto target stock only) although heuristic has created a Distribution demand (planned) 1080 at the mother depot.

Could anyone suggest the way to restrict deployment of only 80 units?

I don't think it's possible in standard system. If you want to acheive this, you may need to restrict the result of heuristic. Instead of planning for both safety stock and forecast in heuristic, you can make heuristic plan for only the safety stock. This can be acheived by modifying the 'Stock Balance' macro, changing the step of calculating 'Total Demand' to not to consider forecast. If you think the heuristic result is correct for your business requirment, I don't think this could be controlled at develoyment phase.
