Deploying EAR file (for Adapter module)

I am trying to deploy an EAR file (for Adapter module). Documentation tells me to deploy from the Deploy Service in Visual Administartor Tool or SDM (Software Deployment Manager)

Can anybody tell me where this is, or have any suggestions?

Hi Tom,

Did u develop the adapter module in Netweaver Developer Studio. fyes u can deploy it in normal way by rt clicking the EAR proj and clicking the deploy option.

The second method is using SDM. But in this case u need to convert the EAR file into SDA and then loggin to the SDM, u can deploy this SDA.

The third method is to go to the deploy service in Visual Admin. Here, it will ask for the EAR file. Provide it and deploy it using the 'Deploy' option on the rt hand side. Once it gets deployed, u hv to start the application by clicking the 'Start Application' again on he rt hand side.

Yes, I can right-click and it says deploy to J2EE Engine.

I guess this is what I want to do....Thanks
