How to install .SAR file

I just downloaded Netweaver Developer Studio SP 11. Its in .SAR format. Am wondering how to install it?

Hi ,

Using SAPCAR utility you can uncompress a .SAR file and can install on your system .

How to extract (decompressing) CAR and SAR Files ?

- Go to the directory where you want to decompress via the "cd" command

- SAPCAR -xvf <your-SAR-file>

Hi!

i have the same problem.........................

i was download sap developer studio2.0 Sp21 from sap market place.

This file come with "JIDE21_0-10002804.SAP".

when i try to uncompress using SAPCAR -XVF, It's showing following error.

Invalid UDF-8 encounter.................

Illegal bite sequence C:\a\.............................

kinldy give me the solution.
