SRM 5.0 services

Hi experts,

We are working on SRM 5.0. We needs to configure services to make the purchasing process : for example, creation of SC of service from catalog or freetext.

But in customizing the point "active service" and service hierarchy doesnt appears.

We need active a bussiness function ? If yes, what?

Service Hierarchy functionality is available only in SRM70 and not in earlier releases. In SRM50, only simple services can be processed and not hierarchies.

You know where I can find documentation about that is not available service hierarchy in SRM 5.0 (wiki documents , etc)?

You can very well procure simple services in SRM50. For this you do not need to activate anything in config. SAP only supports services in 2 ways in SRM50

1. Create SC for services by selecting material type SERVICE in Free Text description SC. In this case Service item would be created without Service Master number.

2. Replicate service masters (without Hierarchis) from ECC to SRM and select them while creating SC.

You can also maintain above services in Catalog and select them from Catalogs.
