MDX Results contains too many cells

Hi All,

I am having this issue when i create a Webi Report. I just get probably around 8 objects and add some filters to it. But i still get this error. But when looked at the back-end BW system there are not more than 8000 rows fetching for the same query. Also i have the row restricting set to 2 million.

Here is the error what it says.

A Database error occured. The Database error text is: Error in MDDataSetBW.GetCellData. MDX Results contains too many cells (More than 1 Million). (Wis 10901)

Environment: BO XI 3.1 SP 3 and SAP BW 7.0.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi,

this is a restriction coming from the MDX interface of BW.

the BW7 Enhancement Pack 01 + SP03 (minimum)  goes some way to lifting this limit (and optimising the BAPI)
