Hi all,

Im trying to make the following restricted ratio but it doesn´t work.

<EXPRESSION>(([Measures].[DD3WO888TSB6MM01CDAXI5A6V] , [0VTYPE].[LEVEL01].[50])</EXPRESSION>

I get this error when i execute the web intelligence:

"An error occur in the database. The text error of database is: The MDX query WITH MEMBER [Measures].[xxxxxxx] AS ´(([Measures].[xxxxxx],[0VTYPE].[LEVEL01].[50]) ´ SELECT {[Measures].[xxxxx]} ON COLUMNS, NONO EMPTY {[0CO_AREA].DEFAULTMEMBER} ON ROWS FROM [ZIP_PA/ZQY_PA_CONTABLE_2] SAP VARIABLES [0P_COAR3] INCLUDING [0CO_AREA].[CAL][0P_FYRA] INCLUDING [0FISCYEAR].[Z82013] failed to execute with the command error MDX not valid [50]. (WIS 10901)"

Any idea?

You are not supposed to create restricted key figures on universe level. You should do this in Bex Query Designer not the universe. If you are using BW cube directly and created your universe on top of BW cube, you should definitely consider using Bex Queries otherwise you'll have a lot of problems and good luck with BW cube universe.

You are not able to use Calculated KF, Restricted KF if you are creating universe on top of BW. It is not recommended by SAP as well.

Actually, there is nothing strictly 'wrong' with defining custom-MDx objects in the universe.

it's a design/implementation choice .

although, yes, typically you would want to centralise the maintenance of this complexity in the easiest single place, & where the functionality is richest - and that would be BEx.
