Hello,
Could anyone tell that whether SAP APO could apply different forecast models for different materials? or for some levels as materials group?
And could you confirm that the forecast result of SAP APO could be transferred to SAP ERP and used in MRP?
Thanks in advance
Chris
Hello,
Of course you can assign different models to different planning objects. The assginment of forecast profile is done for each selections.
DP planning result can be transferred to ECC using DP background job. There's an activity type which could be used to transfer forecasts (saved in planning area) to ECC with R/3 transfer profile. The activity could be defined in /sapapo/mc8t, and assigned to a DP background job in /sapapo/mc8e.
If you have the forecast in infocube, you can use transaction /sapapo/rel_to_oltp to release forecast to ECC.
The released forecast in ECC could be seen in MD63.
Best Regards,
Ada

Indeed, different forecast models can be assigned to different products or product groups by assigning different forecast profiles. The previous message also answered the different options to transfer the planning results back to ECC. These normally appear as Planned Independent Requirements and could be used in your MRP run.
