I have added an application server to XI, Dialog ABAP instance.
Is it necessary to also do J2EE Add in for ABAP, Dialog instance
finalization?
Why would you need an additional J2EE stack if all java apps are
deployed via SCS on the Central Instance of XI?
We do not have performance issues in the central instance J2EE.
We use an intergration process, the system gets really busy with workflow logins, the workflow is the performance issue, hence an application server for RFC server groups to be used.
So, do I need to complete J2EE Add in for ABAP, Dialog instance
finalization?
Thanks.
Derek

Hi Derek,
you can scale the ABAP stack and J2EE stack independently.
If you have no bottleneck caused by the single J2EE you can avoid to add node or instances of J2EE, and you can do this in the future.
