Compatibility of SAPNetweaver 7.xx with Solaris 11

Hi,

We are planning for installation of a XI system on Solaris 11.

My query is whether SAPNetweaver 7.xx system fully compatible on solaris 11 OS.

Hello Varsha,

It depends not only on the SAP version but also on

- SAP kernel version,

- database and its version

Solaris 11 supports NW 720_EXT UC kernel and the SAP PI release ( PI 7.1, PI 7.11, NW 7.3, NW 7.31) which are based on this kernel can run on Solaris 11. Also Solaris 11 support only Oracle 11.2 and Max DB 7.8 .

Solaris 11 supports not only the above-mentioned SAP releases but among-others also:

- SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 (NW 7.00)

- SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 (NW 7.01)

- SAP EHP2 FOR SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 (NW 7.02)

- SAP EHP3 FOR SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 (NW 7.03)

and related product based on them,

both with

- SAP KERNEL 7.20 EXT 64-BIT 
- SAP KERNEL 7.20 EXT 64-BIT UC 

but only with

- MAXDB 7.8 64-BIT(GE SP002)

- ORACLE 11.2 64-BIT

Both
- SOLARIS/SPARC... 
- SOLARIS/X64... 

are supported.
