Vendor master : Name 1 field length 40 and LFA1 only 35 characters

Hi ,

In vendor master data, field name1, the data element show it has 40 characters, but in LFA1, the field length is 35.

If I key in forty characters, and save, it is successful. Then when i go back to see it, it displays 40 characters, but in table:LFA1, there are only 35 characters.

How can i restrict the input on Vendor master screen itself to 35 characters such that it will not take input greater than 35 which will eliminate this problem.

Hi Vinayak

Actually in screen it is not LFA1-NAME1 ... but it is ADRC-NAME1.

So in LFA1 - the field is 35

where  ADRC - it is 40.

That is why you see it...  So you need not to restrict to 35...
