Hi Gurus,
we have a situation, last week, forecast was updated by the user in the DP planning book for Jan 2013. after this an extraction job ran to get the data into the BW report. but today, we noticed that the data for the above is not shown in the BW report.
can you please share your ideas to solve this..what could have gone wrong....
Thanks,
Hi Shreeyath,
A quick check could be using t.code LISTCUBE and comparing the InfoCube data with that of DP dataview with same criteria.
If there is a discrepancy, you need work with your BI team member and analyze the data flow into InfoCube.
Thanks,
Rajesh

Few prelim checks
RSA3: A quick test is t-code RSA3. extraction checker... someone on sdn shared this recently. Useful t-code. Give a small selection and see if the stuff that you want extracted is finding its home in the target cube.
LISTCUBE: Compare the data at right level of grouping. it is likely that forecast is carried out at product level only but may not have been disaggregated correctly or not disaggregated at all in which case the data in the infocube should exist only at product level at the least. Also likely that forecast is stored at another periodicity but time based disaggregation is not working correctly or working differently. So in LISTCUBE give appropriate selections at which data is expected at the least.
PSA: check the relevant request monitor of the infoscheduler and see if PSA table contains the data. If PSA contains the data, then check the update rules once again.. esp. the version.
Transfer Block Size: Also check the block size value you entered when generating datasource from planning area. It should be 0.
Thanks

Shreeyanth,
1. After checking the contents of the infocube from which the BI Report is pulling data, if you see the data for that forecast KF , then that means there is an issue with the report
2. If you dont see any data in the cube, while ensuring that you are querying the data from cube correctly (like.. the 200 default limit for records should be removed), Try checking the PSA if it has the updated data
3. if PSA too does not have it, then something might have gone wrong with the extraction jobs, either re-run the jobs or wait for the next run to see if loads.
Thanks
