BI reports reuse after SAP Netweaver 7.3 portal upgrade

Hi ,

We have a BI SAP Netweaver 7.0 reports created as iviews in our existing NW 7 landscape. I would like to know if we upgrade NW 7 to NW 7.3 in future will these BI reports still work in the new version.only then we would like to create BI content in portal or else we will wait for the upgrade and then go for BI content creation.

When i checked the sneak preview version of NW 7.3 i only see 2 diff types of BI templates.

1. SAP Netweaver iviews for 7.0 version.

2. SAP Netweaver iviews for BW 3.X version.

NO iview template for BI 7.3 version

Hopefully NW 7.0 version BI reports should still be working in NW 7.3.

We are also upgrading BI version to 7.3.

I would like to have a second opinion on this.

Hi Bharath,

Yes you are fine to upgrade your portal to NW 7.3 and still have your BI system on 7.0. When you then upgrade your BI to 7.3 those iViews in the 7.3 Portal will still work fine. As far as I know there is no special 7.3 iView Template for BW/BI reports (but the 7.0 templates work fine).
