Hello Colleagues,
we are currently in the sizing phase of a SAP PO Test System.
PO (PI, BPM and BRM) Java only + SLES11 with all SCS, ERS, PAS and DB on one virtualized System.
From the Installation-Guide I could filter out following Sizing information's:
Disk Space:
SCS: 3,5 GB
ERS: 3,5 GB
PAS: 6 GB
DB: 1 GB Applikation + ?? GB Files (please see below)
Host agent: 1 GB
Diagnostics agent: 3 GB
All without Swap Space: 18 + DB Files = ??
Swap Space:
2 x RAM (SAP Note: 1597355) = 30 GB
All with Swap Space: ??
RAM:
SCS: 1 GB
ERS: 1 GB
PAS: 8 GB
DB: 3 GB
Host agent: 0,5 GB
Diagnostics agent: 1 GB
All: 14,5 GB
All these data are minimum values!
So, my questions please:
1. Regarding DB size I found following note at Installation Guide: "Space requirements of the SAP data file systems, see the following file: <Export_DVD>/DATA_UNITS/EXPORT_1/DB/ADA/DBSIZE.XML" I a litte confused about this note. Where can I find it? This is an Java only installation and Export I thought is ABAP? What is a sufficient value?
2. All these values are minimum, what is the right size regarding RAM and Disk Space?
Disk Space:
Swap Space:
RAM:
Many thanks in advance?
Regards,
Jochen
Following are the disk spaces and the RAM that I used to set up PO (Java only) in a Linux box in development landscape. It works seamlessly.
1) /usr/sap -- 40 GB
2) /tmp -- 20 GB
3) /sapmnt -- 30 GB
4) /oracle -- 150 GB
5) / <directory where all the installation files are available> -- 40GB
Hope this helps.
Bala

Hi Bala,
Many thanks for your update!
I am in match with you regarding RAM usage.
But your overall disk space is 280 GB.
It's really needed? I calculated to 180 GB incl. Swap space.
How much is really used after installation?
Please what is your size of Swap space?
Many thank in advance!
Regards,
Jochen
