LT01 issue

Dear

Material master is extended to one storage type ,when i am transfering material from one bin to another bin having different storage type for which material is not extended through Lt01 t-code,system allowing to post the entry  why?

Actully at the time tranfering ,if material is not extended for storage type system should give the error message ,

If material is extend to one storage type then...the material will be searched in all storage types...

like...in next empty bin...one material is extended to one storage type...and all the bins of that particular storage type is filled then..systems search the next empty available bin in the storage type search sequence..and suggest that..

Even in case of bin to bin transfer also..system wont give any error...because warehouse view to extended for that material and storage type specific data is only entered in the WM view 2..

Try this out.

Hi

BR is correct, you do not need to extend materials to specific St Types unless you want the extrat fields that are on the WM2 view such as the 'Fixed Bin'

Hi,

When you extend material to WH then it will allow material to and from all storage types. If you extend material to some storage type it means that you can fill some specific fields related to storage type in WM view of material master, it does not mean that material will can not be transferred from or to other storage types.
