How to create Project Profile

Dear Experts,

Basically i am FI Consultant, it is a requirement of my client :

My client has requirement of Project Profiles for Accounts and Administration

Could you please help me step by step procedure how to Create a Project Profile.

Hi Karthik,

Above said is right.

But before creating project profile collect details e.g. Project is CAPEX or OPEX, settlement details and so on.

Let me confirm one thing Project profile is require to create one dummy WBS Element ?

Hi,

Project profile is key to define the project type which must be defined in start.

It is medatory field in standard.

However standard project profile is there in standard sap.

You may choose this and create dummy WBS.

project profile which is create in operative structure same use in template with the help of that we can create dummy wbs via transaction cj91/cj92.

OPSA is the tcode to create/modify the project profile. The best way to create one is to copy from an existing profile and then modify it as per your specific needs. There is no need of any step by step procedure here. When you configure it you will understand what settings should be in place.

You can use following steps in configuration for creation of project profile.

1.     Project System Customizing
       Structures -> Operative Structures -> Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) -> Create Project Profile

2.     You can select existing Project profile and then click the "Copy as .." icon

3.     You can change the number and text of the Project profile that you are configuring newly.

4.    Click the "Transfer enter" icon.

5.   You can subsequently change parameters in this newly configured Project profile.
