Problem setup:
Onhand inventory is at 250 FT
No other demand on the system.
Purchase order exists for 1,000 FT - due next week.
Sales order for 500 FT created - ATP screen pops up, "Complete Delivery" option is selected. (uses standard 02 A scope of check for ATP)
Line level settings (shipping tab) -- field KZTLF (Part. dlv./item) set to blank
-- field ANTLF (Max.Part.Deliv) set to any value -- it doesn't seem to matter.
Delivery Tolerance Tolerance set to 5% underdelivery, 0% overdelivery
Run VL10G for today/tomorrow dates. (uses standard 02 B Delivery scope of check for ATP)
Outbound Delivery creates for 250 FT.
Message VL 150 recently changed from error to warning -- this was only supposed to allow an OBD to create if within that 5% underdelivery tolerance.
Findings:
It seems as though if we set the KZTLF (Part dlv./item) indicator to C, then the delivery does not create from VL10G until the quantity on hand is within that 5% tolerance.
Questions
What we're looking to understand is, if during the ATP, I chose "Complete Delivery" (not Delivery Proposal), it doesn't seem like that matters. It's going to create a partial anyway because of the KZTLF field settings.
Can someone explain to me how all of these pieces work together?
Our company does not procedurally allow more than 2 schedule lines within an order line (no partial deliveries) except in the case of scheduling agreements.
We don't want to mass update our KZTLF fields to value "C" without understanding full impact on other functionality.

Hi,
Please see note 546965, question 5. Full delivery refers to an individual item and you can select this on
the availability control screen. On this screen, the system displays the earliest date on which the entire requested quantity is available. Therefore, when you select "complete delivery" in ATP screen, it only affects ATP check. It doesn't affect delivery creation.
To make sure the item is not partially delivered, you can set KZTLF = C, also set error message in OVM1. Note 495651 also gives more information.
When you set field VBAP-KZTLF = C, this will override the settings for over/under delivery tolerance. With KZTLF set to 'C', the system requires that the total item quantity is delivered.
