Hi all,
we are normally producing our finished products according to the production plan (anonymous plant stock) and then sell them. In case a sales order exists, we should of course not produce according to plan, but according to the customer needs. The problem is that we cannot differentiate between the planned order from the sales order and the planned orders from the planned independant requirements, which makes it difficult to set the right priorities in production.....the idea is now to create make to stock requirements out of the sales order.....whe would then know that it is a high priority requirement from a sales order and produce it accordingly....
Our problem: if we have plant stock available and enter a sales order with a make to stock requirement, the plant stock is ignored....does anyone has an idea
1. if and how it is possible to include the plant stock into the make to order availability check
2. if and how to post a goods movement from plant stock to make to order stock automatically, once the order is saved and the availability confirmed
Thanks for your help and kind regards
Jan
Jan,

Neither of these functionalities are supported in standard. If you choose to pursue this logic (I do not recommend this) then you will need to accomplish through enhancements. Consult with your developers.

Not sure what do you mean by this ?? Is it not confirming to sale order ??
Moreover, can you please reconfirm whether the scenario is MTS or MTO as in the above statement, you have indicated MTS whereas in the last two lines, you have indicated MTO.
