Hi Rajiv, this is a good question.
Here is a similar thread that ended with a call to SAP, and no answer. The only way I know of to get the adapter engine message sizes in 7.1 are in the audit log of each individual message.

Maybe there are new features around this area with the version 7.3 message monitoring. We don't have this version so I cannot confirm.
If all else fails, please raise this as an idea and post the link in this forum. Anyone that feels likewise can give a thumbs up to the feature improvement in future product releases.
Hi Rajiv,
Have you looked at Runtime Workbench => Performance Monitoring?
Set the Time Interval and Aggregation Intervals. It gives you number of messages, average size, average processing time, and average messages per hour. It can also show Min / Max over the same periods.

Hi, I'm sorry but I think RWB Performance Monitor only shows items as they pass through the Integration Engine. Are you making use of AAE where items are bypassing the IE?
In our case, we have some adapters on IE (IDOC, HTTP), some adapters in AE(JMS, JDBC, RFC), but all messages flow through IE, so that is the best place to monitor throughput.
Please share if you find something better for AE or AAE.

Aaron
Hello!
You can also use the RSXMB_REMOTE_SERVICE report. This one returns very detailed information on period basis.

hi,
in the past we could use: SXMS_XI_AUDIT_DISPLAY
the same as SAP is using for checking the audit data
can you have a look at this one ?

Hello!
If you want to use the SXMS_XI_AUDIT_DISPLAY, you need other jobs running periodically as well, SAP_XMB_PERF_AGGREGATE and SAP_XMB_PERF_REORG.
For more information, please check the note "Note 871473 - XI 3.0: Displaying XI audit data"
