attribute values to categories, it is possible?

Hello everybody, I'm working with the MDM 5.5 sp4 Data Manager: I've linked attributes to some categories, but I can only set the attributes values on the records, not on the categories.

Is it possible to set the value on the category, so that every record in that category has the same attribute values by default? or have I to set the values one by one for every record?

You cannot set a default value for a category as of SP4.

If your attribute type either Numeric or Coupled Numeric, you can set a default <b>Unit</b>.

Thanks, does that mean I need to fill every single record attribute? Or there is an easier way to associate a specific value to all the records from a category?

Hi Alessio,

you can do mass-maintenance using Data Manager.

Go into record mode (main table) and select all category entries using the category tab on the left by selecting a single category. See all the records assigned to the category in the right and press CTRL + A to select them all. Now, you can assign a value for all records assigned to the category.
