Sending and Receiving attachments using SOAP adapter(AAE) for ABAP Proxy communication

Is it possible to send as well as receive attachments using SOAP adapter for ABAP Proxy communication?

Hi,

ABAP proxy doesn't need the AAE adapter, it communicates directly with the Integration Engine. In other way you could use attachments in ABAP proxy communication.

Hi,

In case of PI7.31, AAE SOAP Adapter can be used for Proxy communication and the question is in that context only.

Im sorry as you talked about AAE instead AAEX i supposed that you was in SAP PI 7.1 version.

I've never worked with SAP PI 7.31 and  abap proxy attachments, but i've found this information, may be could help you:

XI adapter on AEX has the same functionality as the one on ABAP so you can do the same things with it - in short

BTW

there is no new XI adapter on 7.31 - it's the same as with 7.11 (soap adapter with XI protocol),
