Unable to start a JSPM 7.3 N/W Java Stack

Hi Experts,

           When i start the JSPM (usr/sap/<instance name>/J<instance no>/j2ee/jspm) go.(I am using windows box

It's giving following error. Please attached screenshot?

How to resolve this error.

Can you try restarting the sapstartsrv process of the JAVA instance and check if that works.

sapcontrol -nr <instance_number>> -host <host> -function RestartService

Then start the JSPM again.

Since this is  windows OS , after setting service/protectedwebmethods = DEFAULT in  the DEFAULT profile , reboot the server.

Hi,

I have applied SAP note:1600846 then also same result.

I have done the following steps from the SAP note:1600846

Could you tell me how to resolve this error?

B) Change the setting of sapstartsrv

1. Set the following in the default profile (DEFAULT.PFL)

              service/protectedwebmethods = DEFAULT

2. Restart all sapstartsrv services in the cluster to activate the changes.

              NOTE: In a high availability environment, this must be done on all server nodes of the cluster.

3. Restart all Server and Central Services Instances.

4. Resume the update with JSPM.

5. When finished, restore DEFAULT.PFL to its initial state.

1. Could you ensure that sapstartsrv service is running on each node.

2. Could you post the version of kernel.

Hi Mani,

Goto the path

/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/profile ( <SID> = SAP System name) and you will find the file and edit the same which is represent in the file.
