SAP export from Oracle database and import on to SAP running on SQLserver DB

Dear Experts,

I came across a requirement where i need to clone the current ERP environment which is running on Windows & Oracle Database using SAP Export/Import method and setup a separate ERP landscape for another project which would be running on WIndows & MS SQLServer DB.

Is the above scenario would be a homogeneous or Heterogeneous system copy?

Best Regards,

Dheeraj

This is a Heterogeneous system copy.

Whenever you change your DB and/or your OS architecture is considered a Heterogeneous System Copy.

Be aware that if the new Landscape is going to be a productive one the migration will need to be done by a Certified consultant.

You can refer the following urls for more information about the heterogeneous system copy.

This would clearly be a heterogeneous system copy .

You will have to use SAPINST and do an export/import of the data using R3load method from the Oracle database to the MS SQL server database.
