Getting error "Material is used multiple times with different BOMs" in CU51E

Hello VC gurus,

I created Order BOM with assemblies occurring multiple times with different characteristics.

In CU51E when I save the order bom I get the following error:

Material is used multiple times with different BOMs

Message No. CX160

What can be done to fix this.

What are the options available?

Hello George,

The error is generally raised if you have same material in an order bom with different valuations.

Please check if you have set instantiation in the configuration profile, because otherwise it is not possible to process order BOMs with the same configurable material. Also instantiate the materials. Please review the following link.
