HOW CAN INSTALL ABAP + JAVA STACK in EPH5 for ERP 6.0

Hi All,

    we are trying to install abap + java stack in EPH5 for ERP 6.0.when we are starting installation ,there is no option available for abap + java (Combined),which shows options individually like(SAP APPLICATION SERVER for ABAP and SAP APPLICATION SERVER for JAVA).and also we want to know How to install netweaver in this installation.

Hi ,

AS of SAP business suite 7,you can no longer install dual stack systems (ABAP+JAVA).

Exsiting dual stack still supported SAP.

Please check the SAP Note:855534:Dual stacka nd business suite 7.

   Thanks for the Replay, Now iam trying to install sap Erp Eph5 As abap, Before The Instalation , i was doing ProQuest check , When i select the option Developer workplace i got an java error"it is not recommended to use jdk version 1.4.2_10 current version JAVA_HOME NOT AVILABLE See aldo sap note 867110". i down load the sap note , in that note is not mentioned any correct info . so  i have dout on what is developer work place?, is it nessicity for the installation?

If you are installing an ABAP only system , you will not require developer workplace .Please do not select the option .

From NW 7.0 EHP1 , SAP does not support dual stack installations except for SAP PI and SAP solution manager products . Do you will not get any option in the installation master to install dual satck system . Further , you will not be able to upgrade to NW 7.3 for any dual stack systems. You will have to split the stacks into standalone ABAP and JAVA using the dual stack split tool to move to NW 7.3 . So you better install 2 systems with separate SIDs for ABAP and JAVA stacks and then integrate them .

The Netweaver is the base to any installation whether its an ABAP based system or a JAVA based system. So when you install the ERP 6.0 EHP5 ABAP system , Netweaver AS ABAP components would also be installed. Similarly , when you install the ERP JAVA stack , Netweaver AS JAVA components would also be installed along with it.

Hello

The best thing to look for latest information  is to check the master guide,media guide  and installation guide

These guide will have information on the usage type and what all option you can install when you select the perticular product to install

for NW 7.3 ,there is no option of ABAP+JAVA stack in one installation except for PI7.3

You have to have 2 separate go for ABAP stack and JAVA stack and do all prerequisite on host,network ,DB ,sizing on same or different host /DB
