Access Rule Maintenance - Adding SOD Functions Timeout

Hi all,

When adding a new SOD function in GRC10.0 (portal) I receive after 60 seconds an "500 connection time out" (Detail:Connection to partner timed out after 60s).

Basis team already updated the parameter from 10 to 60 seconds (Parameter: icm/server_port_0). Has this anything to do with the RFC connection? When I use the search functionality the system returns values. 

I'm trying to add FB50  with some permissions but that is not possible. 

Any ideas how to solve this issue?

Hi Roy,

What are the chances of having a 3600 seconds (1 hour) time out setting? I know this may not seem idle, but it may be worth testing if the update really is taking THAT long to commit across the network/database etc.

Also, are there any major background jobs taking place concurrently whilst you are trying to make a change to the Function (i.e. Batch Risk Analysis).

This sounds more like a performance issue rather than an authorisation issue, therefore get the performance checked and benchmarked, and maybe just double check the authorisations after via a Auth Trace against your user profile.

The time-out parameter has been changed and this solves the issue.
