Hi Gurus, Need your suggestions in the following issue.. The materials are sometimes put into blocked or restricted use based on the quality analysis results. However, for each movement type in Inventory Management, there is an corresponding movement type in Warehouse management, due to which the materials have to be posted to the relevant bins in the system with respect to the inventory management movement types. The user has specified a requirement that the material should be transferred to the same bin as the source bin, which is not happening currenbtly. At present, the materials are put into the bins automatically by the system and if the users want it in the same bin as that before the transfer posting, then they have carry out separate transactions for posting in the same bin. Thanks and Regards, Prashant S

Hi Ramakrishna,

Can you please provide below details?

1. Which IM Movement type you are referring now?

2. After which transaction performed in IM, you have this issue? is it MIGO, MB1B or QA11?

Thanks

Hi Ramakrishna,

I agree with Kamal, When you do want to transfer the material, you can preset the indicator Post to Same Bin in the Customizing for Warehouse Management, under Activities-->Transfers-->Define Movement Types, or under Master Data -->Define Storage Type.

Hi,

You can achieve this by checking " Propose post. change at storage bin" check box, at storage type.

You can find it in storage type.
