after installing EHP2 on SCM 7.0, we're getting following error in DB13:

Problem persist even if I set LD_LIBRARY_PATH to $ORACLE_HOME/lib.

We're running SAP NetWeaver 7.3, oracle 11.2.0.2.0 with latest SAP bundle patch and HP-UX B.11.31 U ia64.

Can you please update the oracle client to 11.2.0.3 and check if that works.

after switching to the oracle client 11.2.0.3 and the newest dboraslib.so (included in lib_dbsl_225-20006704.sar) I was able to start the system. I'm able to start DB check within DB13 now. Previous error was gone, but now I have this one:

BR0301E SQL error -1031 at location BrDbdiffRead-1, SQL statement:

'PREPARE stmt_5 FROM'

'SELECT OBJNAME FROM "SAPSR3".DBDIFF WHERE DBSYS IN ('ORACLE', ' ') AND OBJTYPE = 'TABL' AND DIFFKIND IN ('02', '61', '99') ORDER BY OBJNAME'

ORA-01031: insufficient privileges

I'm going to "google" something for this. If you have any hint also for this, please let me know.

I solved this problem with:

sqlplus /nolog @sapdba_role <SAPSCHEMA_ID>

Solution is described in SAP note 134592.

Hello Ruchit,

as you can see above, environment settings for <SID>adm user are pointing to the instant client 11. We're using SAP kernel 720_EXT patch 300. But I have to mentioned following. After EHP2 installation was system running with SAP kernel 720_EXT patch 120. I decided to upgrade kernel to the newest version. But I wasn't able to start system afterward. Startsap command finished with error: DB startup failed. Problem was, that DB was started but R3trans wasn't able to connect to the database. The only way how to solve this error was to use dboraslib.so from the previous version of kernel. So I'm using SAP kernel 720_EXT patch 300 but dboraslib.so is from the kernel 720_EXT patch 120.

SCM 7.0 EHP2 on NW 7.3 does not support NW 720 kernel as per the PAM , the only kernel supported in 720_EXT .

Your OS and DB releases are all good . Just that you need to move to kernel 720_EXT

Clearly it is pointing to old oracle client as per ldd output. Have u set the environment variables correctly after applying the note for both sh and csh shells ?
