CTM planning in APO

Hello Experts,

In our CTM, strategy defined is as "Plan all resources Finitely",

so our requirement is, if the capacity of the resource remains unutilized, CTM should pull the demand from the next month / weeks and

should fill up the unutilized capacity instead of being idle.

so pls suggest what settings is to be altered in our CTM.

Hi Jigar,

Since CTM's objective is to find the feasible solution rather than optimization, the design itself doesn't offer any functionality such as maximization of capacity utilization.

However, the following settings might help.

1. CTM Profile (t.code /SAPAPO/CTM, tab Strategies -> Special Strategies)

Scheduling strategy for late demand fulfillment is to be set with 'Keep lateness to a minimum'.

2. CTM Global Settings (t.code /SAPAPO/CTMCUST, tab Demand-Dependent constraints)

Restrict early demand fulfillment - Increase order creation frame window as well as max earliness of planned orders.

3. Consider demand out of order selection window by using planning parameter DEMSEL_HORZ_EXT. Please check the following SAP note for details.

sir may i know what is tcode for scheduling stratgey in APO .......that comes as part of strategy profile or as a seperate entity
