BRM Role Content Approver not receiving the New Item in work inbox, although receives the email notification

Hi,

I am facing an issue in BRM 10.0 configuration. I used the SAP delivered default workflow for BRM. No approval conditions created/required. All the roles should go to their respective Role owners maintained in the role definition when the role request approval is initiated at Methodology step 'Approve' The role approval request is not getting received in the role owners work inbox, although a work item email is received at the email id registered for the Role  Owner. Also when the request is viewed for administration, it clearly states in the audit log that the request is pending with the Role content approver and correctly shows the ID of the Role Approver.

Anybody faced any similar issue or has any insight into how to resolve the issue.

Hi Mona,

Please make sure that your Role Approval Workflow SAP_GRAC_ROLE_APPR has been configured correctly and is working fine.

Please ensure that the Role Agents are assigned at Stage level. Looking at the issue, it seems role agent is not assigned at stage level.

Also check, in MSMP > Step 5 > 'GRAC_ROLE_APPROVER' is assigned as an approver.

Please try assigning an Agent at the stage level and then regenerate the version and check again creating a request.

This should work fine!

Does F5 - Refresh make any difference on the screen?

Also it may be worth checking the workflow requests via the Administrator options and see if the request actually does exist.

I would probably raise a SAP OSS note if the usual avenues of trying to resolve the error or spotting a SAP note for the bug fails.

Hi Mona,

Please try searching the Role Approval Request in the Request search, by the name of the Role.

As Kaushal said, try to refresh the Work Inbox and filter the request by selecting the * <role name>*

in the Subject field.

If the request would have been sent to the Approver, it will be visible in his Work Inbox.
