Price control

Hi all,

we are getting the below error while doing the GRN in MM and PGI in sales

"Back posting only W. Same price control (Cur mnth S, Prv mnth V)" for some materials. i tried to replicate the scenario in test server but could not able to do. is it because of  change in pricing control for the material?

Request you to guide. i tried to search in Google but didn't get the solution.

If you click on this error message, it will also tell you the following:-

Procedure
There are two possible solutions:
1. the valuation classes in the material master record must be made the same,
or,
2. you must post the movement to the current period instead of the previous one.

So you have to check either of the above two options.  Have you tried this ??

dear sir,

i found the reason for the problem. it is because by mistakenly my MM consultant has closed the July period and as per system this is 5th month i.e. August so if we try to change the date to 27/8/2012 while doing GRN it is allowing to post. but we don't want to post in next month.

and now want to open the current month (July 12).  is there any option to close the 5th (August 12) month and to make the 4th (July 12)month as current period?

Plz suggest.

Hi,

please open a New Period in MMPV with closing Previous Periods and see what status in MMRV.
