Hi all,
I want to know the significance of Initiative in Portfolio Bucket in Business context.
Also can anyone guide how to carry on with creation of Initiative in later stage of portfolio Hierarchy like after creation of initiative what process to be done.
I see tabs like active escalation and active proposal.
Kindly address the above issues and would be great helpful if you give any document for the above process.
Regards,
Vijay
Hi,
Initiatives are a core element of what was introduced in release 4.5 as"Decision Flow Management":
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_ppm50/helpdata/en/4a/c4078c744f246fe10000000a42189c/frameset.htm
An Initiative is:
An object used in the process of discovering, designing, and developing new products within a company, and introducing these products to the market. This innovation process follows predefined innovation process templates where decision gates and phases are defined. This includes the post-launch phase.
You use the initiative to track the Decision Flow Management process. From the initiative overview, you can monitor the status of the decision points and phases.
You can find this and related materials here in the Learning Map for 4.5:
