Hi,
We have an issue in CUA wherein the role modifications get updated in the daughter systems..however, the status remains grey in SCUL in the master system..& the grey entries do not go away..
BD87 reveals nothing on the child system..
Also; when one role is assigned to say one user on only one child system, CUA somehow checks for that user/role combination in all connected child systems..thus resulting in errors for some systems (due to missing role/user group etc.).
Please advise..
Thank you

The user group should exist both Master and child systems otherwise it will through the error. Try to create user groups that are in master and not in child manually in child system and redistribute.

Hi Venkata,
Thank you for the reply..
The user groups do exist in the concerned child system..is it necessary for all users/roles/groups to exist in ALL child system connected to the mother ?
Also, is this behavior normal (all systems are checked when one role is added in one child system)..
Please advise.
Thank you.

Hi,
User groups and roles do not have to exist in all child systems.
The user group behaviour can be controlled - look at note 395841
The only requirement for roles is that the role you assign in the master exists in the specific target system that you are trying to assign it to.
Are you using cross-system composite roles (e.g. a composite role in CUA that has component roles from different systems?)

Hi Alex,
We're not using cross-system composite roles.
Also, the role is available with the desired child..but not with all children, hence the erros in SCUL..
I have a feeling somethings not quite rite with the CUA config..
Please advise.
Thank you.

Are there any error/warning messages on the processed idocs in the target system?

That's the beauty
None whatsoever !
When we pull them via BD87 from the daughter system..it works at times..or else manual role creation on the child system does the trick.

Is there any delay of a second or two between the processed idocs and these waiting ones? This might indicate that they are subsequently created.
Check in SCUM (also in the child incase there is an inconsistency) whether it is set to redistribute role assignments from the child?
Cheers,
Julius
