Printing in SAP GRC 10 via ADS

Hi all,

we are trying to print our data over an ADS.

At the moment we still have the problem that when someone use the Print Version Button an error exist.

But i do not know how to customize this functionality.

Do you have some documentation?

We are running the ADS Server on a seperat SAP-system.

We have an RFC with the name ADS to this server.

So what can we do that we can use this functionality?

Do you have any idea?

Additionally,Please review the sap note-

1666846 - SAP NetWeaver Application Server Java required for Adobe Document.

Kindly also check that the ADS connection is working correctly.

Hi Sebastian,

Please check with the help of your basis team and confirm that all the connections are working fine.

Secondly, please check with the below link, it will definately help for errors that you are facing as it provides the details for every sort of error with ADS:-

Hi,

Thanks for your help.

i want use this button so we do not want to disable the button.

But our problem is that we do not know what we should do.

The colleagues told me that the thinks which are defined in the note which you send me have been done.

The first error was:

RFC Destination SALV_WD_EXPORT_PDF does not exist.

I checked it and found - yes we do not have such a RFC destination.

The colleagues created the RFC Connection ADS.

Then we tried the same with the SALV_WD_EXPORT_PDF - but then i get the error:

Print version Communication Failure: Illegal destination type 'G'.  Display Help

So i do not know what we have done wrong.

It would the best way if we get a documentation how to customizie the GRC with ADS - ADS is not on the grc box.

Additional Informations:

I do not found the path in the spro like in the note described.

Please check the SAP note - 894009 to configure ADS and 944221for troubleshooting problems.

The issue also arises if there is some problem with the ADS connection

Kindly also make sure that the  connection to ADS server is working fine.

Hi Sebastian,

Please check the SAP note -1638100 - Print version Communication Failure: RFC Destination SALV_WD_EXPORT_PDF does not exist.

It would be helpful if you can provide some details of error encountered.

In case you wan to disable that button ,follow the below steps

Go to Transaction Code - SPRO (IMG):
SAP NetWeaver -> Application Server -> SAP List Viewer (ALV) -> Maintain
Web Dynpro ABAP-Specific Settings.

Disable 'Java Server Available', and clear up "Service for Generating Print Version".

Then the print should be hidden/disable.
