FM Area issue in FI Transaction postings

Hi:

It can be seen in the given screen shot , FM area is not getting updated. I have done configuration in various test client of differing companies but i am facing the same issue. FM area does not get updated . AVC check, budget reporting , actual postings and all FM related activities are working perfectly fine but i really wonder what i am missing in customization that is causing this issue. Please guide me what can be the issue.

Hi Atif

You are facing the issue in FMBB or some other transaction code.

Have you chekced in budget posted line items report (FMEDDW)? There FM area is updated or not?

Also let me know are u facing any issue on this?

Hi RAO:

I am facing this issue in FI transaction only . In FB50,FB60 e.t.c FM area does not get updated. FMEDDW clearly shows FM area is updated in FM documents.

Hi Atif

As you mentioned you are observed this in FI transaction, say example FB60. I thought FM area will not update in line item (in my project also it is appearing like this) but you can get the same in document header table (BKPF), FM Area is above Company Code. So, you can get FM area details in document header table, it may not appear in line item details, even i didn't find FM Area details in BSEG table also this may not effect  in any area.

Hi:

Yes entries exist in BKPF with reference to FM Area but really wonder why has SAP given FM Area in line items . Anyways thanks for the clarification.

FM area does not exist on line item level in the tables.
