Hello ,

I am unable to start my database

what could the issue ?

Please provide solution

Hallo,

please check alert.log for any other errors appearing at the same time.

Also check the permissions on the oracle file systems (oraarch, sapdata).

Proble could be any of following kindly attach alert.log file

  • Server machine crashed
  • Your server process was killed at O/S level
  • Network problems
  • Oracle internal errors / aborts on the server
  • Client incorrectly handling multiple connections
  • etc.. etc.. etc.. - a lot of possible causes !!

Could you check if any of your filesystem is full, especially /oracle/<SID>/oraarch.

The filesystem is not full as per below

bizdev:bidadm 26> bdf .

Filesystem          kbytes    used   avail %used Mounted on

/dev/oraarchvg/lvol1

                   20971520   71784 19593510    0% /oracle/BID/oraarch

Could you check the alert log. /oracle/<SID>/saptrace/background

Check the trace file as well for the process with ID 20524

Also check the timestamp of the trace file.
