EHP6 installation of dual stack

Dear Expert!

I have downlaoded EHP6 installation media to deploy the Ehp6,  I have deployed the abap stack sucessfully, the java stack product is not displaying to deploy.

I have downloaded many version of IM to check the product catalogue, the all having same.

Please advise!

Hello,

   As of Business Suite 7, you can no longer install dual-stack application systems.

Please go through Master Guide.

If you want to use both SAP Business Suite ABAP and Java components in your system landscape, you have to proceed as follows:

1.

Install a separate ABAP-based SAP Business Suite system.

2.

Install the required Java components in a separate Java-based SAP system.

3.

Configure the connection of the Java-based SAP system to the ABAP-based SAP Business Suite backend system.

The above snapshots of IM of EHP5, where we can see the "Sap Application Server Java" under the EHP5 of ECC6.

come back to my original question, the IM of EHP6 having no node of SAP Application Server Java under the EHP6 of ECC6.

I knew it strategy change to deploy the Java Stack! is it changed in EHP6 ?

If yes, please do you have steps to deploy the java stack of EHP6 on same machine !!

hi,

  There is no option to install as an add-in.Do you mean install a java engine on the same server?

If yes, please use the corresponding NW installation master(7.3x) and you can use the NW installation guides for AS Java.

Details present in the SAP ERP Ehp6 installation master guide.

you are right! did you compare my both snapshots of EHP6 and EHP5.

i am concerning the product cataloge of IM EHP6. The EHP6 has no option to deploy Application Server Java under the EHP6 , howerver, the options are exist in EHP5.

if anyone has deployed the Java stack of EHP6. please share experience and steps with me.

Dear Anwar,

It is quite clearly mentioned in the inst guide for ECC 6 EHP6 that you need to install NW 7.3, under that you can select the SAP ERP Business Packages and  their Dependencies which needs to be installed.

As Vishal stated , NW 7.3 JAVA  is the one compatible with ECC 6.0 EHP6 .

have you got any work around on this java 7.03 installation process.

I have downloaded the software "based on SAP NetWeaver 7.3" under the EHP6 of ERP6.

The java based IM has option to deploy the Java Engine and usage of EHP6 of ERP6 but, in this folder the NW73 UC Kernel does not exist; you have to used the Kernel from SAP NetWeaver 7.3 to deploy or backward kernel 7_20 unicode.

Please advise what is the usage of JAVA HUB and software in landscape.
