Hi Steve,

What do you mean by looping up while the installation???? Could you attach a screenshot for the same??

In the meanwhile here a link from where you can download Crystal Reports 2008 SP3 full build, Sp4 and Sp5 incremental

https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/bobj_download/main.htm

Sp3 Full build:
https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100009989492010E/cr2008_sp3_fullbuild.zip.

Sp4 (Incremental) : https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100008782452011E/cr2008sp4.exe

Try installing Crystal Reports 2008 Sp3 full build and then increment it to Sp4 and then to sp5

or

one other thing you can do is go service.sap.com/support -> software download -> Installation and upgrades -> a-z index -> click on "C"-> "Crystal Reports (Sap Crystal Reports)" -> Crystal Reports 2008 v1 -> Click on Installation

Look for Crystal Reports 2008 V1 Sp5 (51042013) and download it

See if this would help you

Alternatively, see:

http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-27917

The link there is to full SP5 build.

Hi Ludek,

Thank you very much for the information.

The install executable of SP5 is just 532MB, is it an incremental build also? what's the difference between this zip and the 3 rar (~2GB) in support portal?

The "Service Pack 5 Release Note" is linking to the RN of CR11 SP5, where can I download the RN of CR12 SP5?

Thanks,

Steve

Hi Steve,

The 532 MB installer is the Full Build for CR 2008 SP5.

There is an incremental SP5 available that is around 338 MB.

Crystal Reports' Full Builds are never usually over 600 MB (CR XI R2 was an exception though!). So, I'm not sure which rar file you're looking at.

Perhaps, the 3 rar files could be the Crystal Reports Server installer. Anyway, that's not the CR designer and please do not download that.

Sorry that I didn't make myself clear, what I really mean is "Crystal Reports Server 2008"

The version number is 12.1.0

Here is a screen capture.

http://uploadpic.org/v.php?img=1u7yuj2IMv

The files I downloaded earlier are

51042724_part1.exe

51042724_part2.rar

51042724_part3.rar

The download history showed their description is "CRYSTAL REPORTS SERVER 2008 V1 SP5 SERVER COMP WINDOWS"

They were downloaded from http://service.sap.com/support in "My Company's Application Components"

Somehow these three files are no longer on the list.

By the way, what I really trying to fix is the text clipping in PDF export. Has it been fixed in these SPs and FPs?

The issue looks like this one http://scn.sap.com/thread/2103132

Thanks,

Steve

Hi Steve,

From the snapshot it looks like when you try to install there is not enough memory to install the software.

Can you try to free some space or could you try to install the software on other drive.

Hi Bwuser,

Do you mean disk space? The error message is about out of disk space for installation.

Thanks,

Steve

Yes Steve. I mean the disk space. I guess this error message is coming during the installation process?? Am i right?

Hi bwuser2012,

The installation takes more than 8 hours and 7GB of disk space, and comes to a halt when disk space runs out. I guess this is what is happening.

Thanks,

Steve
