Hi,

Please clarify me on impact while maintaining planned delivery time, GR and GI.

Plant X is procuring material from Plant Y (material produced in plant Y).

How the dates will be considered in planning while maintaining planned delivery time, GR and GI in both plants or in either of the plants?

Please clarify me the basic concepts on maintaining planned delivery time, GR and GI while planning.

Thanks,

Prash

Hi Prasanth,

Planned delivery time  is an AVERAGE time of the all possible sources of supply and variability of the same therein at different points of time....whether procured externally or made in-house. This time is relevant for the source location that is being planned in SNP or PP. Heurstics, Optimizer and CTM consider this value differently. See the context help of planned delivery time.

Planned delivery time + GR time is considered as replenishment lead time (if left blank)  of the said product at the said location that is sourcing the product. So the purchase requistion date (of delivery) is calculated based planned delivery time + GR time of receiving plant + GI time of issing plant. If the product is produced in-house then planned delivery time is the time it takes to complete production from start to finish. This is again an average value and it can vary based on recipe used and variability within with same recipe/PDS.

Hope this helps..

Thanks
