Java Support pack update(Portal)

Hi All,

I need to update portal support pack from 21 to 26(Netweaver 7.0).

Can you please let me know the  procedure?

I have attached one screenshot.From the screenshot can you please let me know which needs to be selected to download EP patch in the section Restrict accroding to usage?

Do I need to download IGS,TREX patch too?

Hallo,

if you have Solution Manager (and it's configured), I would use it to calculate my target stack (via maintenance optimiser).

Maintenance optimiser is also helpful in calculating the correct ERP stack which you might want to keep in line to avoid issues.

Hi,

You need to select SP21 in the source stack.

TREX is separate product, if you want to update TREX as well then download its patches as well. Also, you need to select proper usage types while downloading patches.

Hi,

Current sp 21 doesn't support IE 9

and Mozilla as it supports IE 9 in sp 26.

even sp24 supports ie9

but we thought better to upgrade to sp 26 the latest one

but for mozilla firefox RRC sp26 is recommended.

Kindly help me to consider usage types to download patches.

Do I need to consider EP core,as Java beside EP as usage types?

Use below URL to find which all usage types are installed on your system and based on that you can select usage types:
