SAP GUI 720 installation error messages

Is there a listing of possible error message that can occur in the log file for a SAP GUI 720 installation?

Are the error messages different if we are installing the base version ( SAP GUI / patch 0) versus error messages that might appear if I am upgrading the existing SAP GUI for example if I am upgrading to SAP GUI 720 patch 9.

During the upgrade of SAP GUI 720 patch 9 I have seen three types of errors in the SAP GUI installation log files.

Error 5 - I believe this means you are not an administrator on the workstation so the product cannot install

Error 48 -  means it is already installed

Error 129 - means the workstation has a pending reboot

Error 144 - means you need to reinstall the product

Is there a document that can verify these errors?

When installing 7.2 GUI (patch 5) on our user's PC's, we are sometimes receiving error messages on user's PC's stating that a "DLL is missing".   Is this common and expected?  Please advise. Thanks Jackie Seals

What .dll would this be?

Most issues are caused by missing dependencies such as visual studio 2005 SP1 or

Visual Studio 2008 SP1

Please ensure these are both installed.

Check the setup logs for the words 'missing dependencies'
