Hi all,
Following go-live of our first wave of SRM7, we are receiving a number of complaints from users regarding the supplier search:
The complaints center around the search function being confusing :
1. Unused fields should be removed: DUNS, Logical System, PCard
2. "Name 1/last name" and "Name 2/first name" should be renamed to something more useful "Vendor Name1 and 2"
My question is whether these type of changes are possible without breaking our upgrade path and is there functionality that allows users - or a group of users - to define what they can see in a search box like this? If not, can this be done via configuration or development while not modding the system?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Richard
Hi,
Try the suggestions on this website: http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-25692
They refer to adding a new field to the search help, but might help you in your investigations.
This section should be useful:
"Go to the following path in SPRO:
SAP Supplier Relationship Management à SRM Server à Cross-Application Basic Settings à POWL and Advanced Search.
Enter in Define Default POWL Application for Advanced Search and look up the Query Id for the object type BUS2121. We can see that is SAPSRM_AL_PURCHASING_02_01.
Now go to the transaction POWL_QUERY and find this Query Id.
Do double-click there and you can see what the feeder is.
Ok, return to SPRO and go to Adjust POWL Layout, Search Criteria, and Pushbuttons (transaction /SAPSRM/POWL_CUST)."
