Very long response time when accessing SRM MDM Catalog Search UI

Hi,

We have discovered a delay time when accessing Catalog Search UI.

We login to SAP and create a requisition from there. An e-catalog button takes us to the Search UI of the Catalog.

For both Dev and QA it takes exactly 7 minutes to open the Search UI.

The same delay time is for if we access the Search UI via generated URL.

We believe there must be a setting for this delay somewhere, but we do not know where.

Any ideas?

Hi Thomas,

there are several parameters, which are influencing the performance, like

- namedsearches

- locally stored images

- inbound and outbound handler.

Also, there might be issues on the MDM side, please review following note :

Hi and thanks for your reply.

I don't think it is a performance problem.

The time it takes to load the Search UI is exactly 7 minutes every time, in two separate systems.

MDM is performing fine and Catalog repositories are responding as normal in MDM clients.

This is why I believe there is a setting somewhere set to "time delay = 7 minutes" or something similar.

well, it's really interesting...

I'm afraid I am not aware of such setting from SRM or MDM side.
