Two ECC servers communication to one PI server.

Dear Experts,

Actually we have the communication between ECC Quality server and PI Quality Server. Earlier they had been created tech system through rz70 and found in PI SLD_UC, SLD_NUC under TCP/IP Connections and every thing working properly since last 2-3 years.

As per new requirement, we want to communicate a new ECC Sandbox Server with the same PI Quality Server, for that what i have to do. if i choose Automatic RFC destination option in rz70 i am guessing that it will overwrite the TCP/IP connections(sld_uc, sld_nuc) with ECC Quality server.

    Please guide me for this.

Thanks & Regards,

Sri.

hi,

as Nicholas mentioned - there will be no issues,

RFC destinations to SLD are system independent and it's a standard thing to have multiple SAP backend systems (like ecc, srm, crm) connected to one PI

my very old blog:

http://scn.sap.com/community/pi-and-soa-middleware/blog/2005/03/10/registering-a-new-technical-syste...

one more on RZ70

http://scn.sap.com/people/praveen.kurni3/blog/2010/10/15/creating-a-technical-system-of-type-was-aba...

BTW

the difficult task would be to do the oposite - connect on ECC (proxies) to multiple PIs

(but it's also doable and there are guides on how to do this)

Hi Sri,

FYI, RZ70 just fetch your ECC system  info to PI SLD. There'll be no problem for many ECC systems to fetch data to PI SLD via rz70.
