Hi guys,
after some years of riping, the enhanced SU53 is now available. One main issue was always, that only the last failed check was displayed. Now you can choose, how many failed checks shall be available in SU53.
Some limitiations still: combined ABAP and kernel correction, the 'innovation' Kernel is required for older releases (at the moment).
Delivery with: SAP note 1671117.

The functionality is now provided also for Kernel 7.00, 7.01 and 7.20. ... just to let you know - so that you do not need to consider that you will need that 'innovation' Kernel..... The short text of note 1671117 is now changed to 'SU53: Enhanced function and Web Dynpro suitability'

Hi Bernhard,
I love the new functionality, but I have two questions, if I may (from the OSS note text):
After you apply the kernel and implement the ABAP correction instructions, you can display a maximum of the 100 last failed authorization checks of a user on the current application server.
Does that mean that the thing is app.server dependent? Just like ST01? I don`t have multiple app.servers to test it nor access to such SAP system.
However, the temporary storage of the results in the database is possible after a table enhancement using a Support Package or manual post-implementation steps (see below).
Does this mean I can move/ copy the information into the DB table (so get the information from variables to a table) using the SAP standard coding? Can one find some more information about this anywhere else? Are there other notes discussing the topic/ clarifying technical details? I would love to get this working in my system.
Thanks for all the enhancements and improvements you do for us, we appreciate that!
Cheers Otto

Hello Otto,
Q1 is answered in the note text, some lines above...:
Solution
After you install this correction, the system uses a ring buffer in the shared memory of the application server for saving failed authorization checks.
So you as admin can access the results of another user immediately only if you are logged on at the same server.
If you are not at the same server, the user has to press 'Save' once, then the su53 content is moved to table usr07 (as in the past).
You can see that in SAPMS01G->Form save
