Hi All
I just wanted to know if anyone has implemented the Password Self Service on GRC 10 successfully.
If you have and are using it, please let me know your user base (no of users in your business)
By how much has this service reduced your calls (Password reset)
Regards
Mustafa
Hi Mustafa,
we can define length with parameter 'GEN_PSW_MAX_LENGTH'. This will set the value only for generated password and the user can set his password to the maximum value defined in paramter login/min_password_lng.
And also, check the below parameters too:
1. GEN_PSW_MAX_LETTERS = login/min_password_letters
2. GEN_PSW_MAX_DIGITS = login/min_password_digits
3. GEN_PSW_MAX_SPECIALS = login/min_password_specials
4. GEN_PSW_MAX_LENGTH = login/min_password_lng
i.e maintain GEN_PSW_MAX_LETTERS value same as login/min_password_letters

Hi
Thanks for the info, however I have been through that note.
I noticed that the Password received had too many characters and did not work.
The generated password is: 8Q[F-4VUw&@h}Eio5]+({/R=4ab7iMeyAuwCJX
Also for another System it generated a Long password and only the first 12 characters were needed.
We have 30 000 + employees and can you imagine explaining that to them.
Is there a way to reduce the length or define the Passwords to be generated?
Regards
Mustafa
Mustafa,
Let me share my experience with you.
I have implemented this for 150-200 users as of now. This has reduced the burden of Authorization team to a great level and this has also helped end users to experience turn-around-time at a faster rate.
Hope this helps!
Regards,
Faisal
