Greyout Country field in VD02

Dear friends, I need to grey out country field in t code VD02 under address in  General data. I tried configuration but only country field is left out. Also checked with technical team for screen variant but I am not required to create a new t code. How can I possibly grey out this field.

Hi,

I have a smilar issue as you before and I have raised an OSS to SAP on this. They have advised me to implement note, Note 330032 - Field control for lang. and country in cust. master to rectify this issue. They also feedbacked that this will not happen in ECC 6.0 as this issue has already been fixed in that version.

I was wondering if this note is not having any adverse effect. I found that this note maked some selection table entries.

I have tried in OB20 but in that country  field is not there

I don't think any of the configuration settings can help with this. You may need to use screen variant or you may need to use BADI CUSTOMER_ADDRSCR_CHG . However, country is an important parameter of the customer master, why you want to grey out?
