SAP Incident Management Multi level category version

Hi All,

I am facing one issue with the versioning of the multi level categorization. I created some categories and activated the schema for the categories.

Now I got one more requirement to add one more category. So I created a new version of the category schema and activated the same.

But for  the old messages which are already created , the new category is not coming. If i create a new message then the new category is picking up.

Is this the normal behaviour or is there something is missing?

Moreover if i want to add the new category for some of the messages, can i do it from backend something like updating a table field ...

Please advise.

Please check deployment date of Schema.

Anything affective starts from deployment date of schema. Everything will work fine onward from deployment date. Date can be checked:

Service Operations=> Categorization Schema => Schema ID , Deployment Date
